Darrell Wayne Davis

Darrell Wayne Davis, 72, passed away March 30, 2024 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County.

Born September 12 1951 in Wood River, he was the son of Elmo and Norma (Jordan) Davis.

He had worked as a farm hand with his uncle and a security guard for Whalen Security and St. Louis Parking.

On October 28, 1972 in Rosewood Heights, he married Carol Steed.  She survives.

Surviving also are a daughter, Christina (Gene) Niethe of East Alton; four grandchildren, Cameron (Megan) Niethe, Kiersten Niethe, Kayla Niethe, Colton Niethe; four great grandchildren, Avery Niethe, Jace Shaffar, Cayden Niethe, Noah Niethe; two brothers, Glenn Davis of Alton, Frank Davis of East Alton; and a sister, Glenda Corrigan of Wood River.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be conducted at 5 pm, Friday, April 5 at Roxana Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Rodney Durr will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to Roxana Church of the Nazarene.
