Daniel Sean Abbott

Daniel Sean Abbott, 44, stepped into Heaven much too soon, while being treated at St. Louis University Hospital on November 23, 2024.

Born June 10, 1980 in Alton, he was the son of Mark and Pamela (Zeisset) Abbott.

During high school, Dan earned the rank of Eagle Scout. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Computer Science from Eastern Illinois University, Dan earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Dan enjoyed working at SumnerOne.

Dan loved to spend time with his family-especially his nephews who affectionately referred to Dan as "Uncle Toys". He loved socializing and gaming with his close friends and attending gaming conventions like ARCON.

Dan is survived by his parents, Mark and Pam Abbott; brother, Christopher Abbott and spouse, Elizabeth; and nephews, Nolan Abbott and Wyatt Abbott.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Roma Abbott, Chuck and Eva Faye Zeisset; and sister, Kelly, who passed away on September 24, 2024.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Daniel at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Heartland Baptist Church in Alton. Memorials are suggested to Spina Bifida of Greater St. Louis, 2705 Dougherty Ferry Rd, Ste 200B, St. Louis, MO 63122 as Dan truly supported his family and especially his sister, Kelly.

A private family interment will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
