Christa Diane (Thomas) Griggs

Christa Diane Griggs, 68, passed away January 8, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born October 19, 1956 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Joseph Odell and Georgia Pauline (Griggs) Thomas.

On September 25, 1978 in Alton, she married James "Ed" Griggs. He survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Mindy Griggs of Godfrey, Lori (Joe) McLain of Wood River; five grandchildren, Kansas, Kamryn, Cheyene, Emily, and Mallory; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Debbie Gainer in Florida, Paula Kortcamp in Houston, TX, and Barb Griffin of East Alton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Thomas, Wess Thomas; and three sisters, Joan Thomas, Rosemary Thomas, and Fern Greenwell.

Cremation rites were accorded.
