Cheryl Sue Fletcher, 76, passed away September 10, 2025 at Manor Court in Maryville.
Born July 25, 1949 in Alton, she was the daughter of Clyde and Rhoda (Drake) Elliott.
Cheryl had worked as a caregiver with Senior Services Plus in Alton for 25 years before retiring.
On March 16, 1969 in Rosewood Heights, she married Joseph D. Fletcher, Sr.. He died June 7, 2020.
Surviving are a son, Joseph, Jr. (Debbie) Fletcher of Alton; two daughters, Carol Fletcher (Ashton Luck), Claudia (Robert) Bailey all of Wood River; five grandchildren, Jacob Fletcher, Ann Marie Bailey (Joshua Battles), Hunter Bailey, Alyssa Luck and Bennett Luck; two great grandchildren, Caspian and Micah Battles; two brothers, Dennis Elliott of Dittmer, MO, Leslie Elliott in Costa Rica; and a sister, Carol Eagan of Waterloo, IA.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm, Sunday, September 21 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Kenneth Webster will officiate. Friends are encouraged to wear St. Louis Cardinal attire to honor her love as a fan for her team.
Private interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Beverly Farms CDS in Godfrey in honor of Jacob Fletcher.
