Brenda K. (Moore) Hartley

Brenda K. Hartley, 73, passed away peacefully September 20, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Edwardsville, with her loving family by her side..

Born July 4, 1951 in Little Rock, AR, she was the daughter of Floyd R. and Rosemary (Richardson) Moore.

Brenda had worked as a nurse's aide for 30 years before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed music and had a "zest for life".

On October 18, 1968 in Cottage Hills, she married James Hartley. He died March 30, 2019.

Surviving are two daughters, Tamara (James) Bizaillion of Edwardsville, Monica Michelle (William) Corbin of Gillespie; three grandsons; three great granddaughters; brother, Shane Anthony Moore of Godfrey; and sister, Stephanie Francis of Alton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Monica Moore and Debra Pershall.

Cremation rites were accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 11 at CrossPoint Church, 4539 Wanda Road, Edwardsville following an interment ceremony in Upper Alton Cemetery at 1 pm.
