Beulah Maxine Hutton, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 26. 2024 at Jerseyville Manor.
Born March 9, 1938 in Alton, she was the daughter of Harley and Beulah (King) Lievers.
Maine had worked in Quality Control for Hanley Industries for many years before retiring.
She had been an active member of Bethalto Church of God was a "Red Hat Lady" at the church as well as a member of the Cottage Hills VFW Post 7678 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics, but most of all her grandchildren.
She married Robert F. Newell and following his death, married Francis Hutton who also preceded in death.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Newell, Jr. and Steven Newell both of Wood River; daughters, Rebecca Smith of Cottage Hills, Pamela Wiggins of Fenton, MO, Kimberly LeVeck of Las Vegas, NV, Marcia Eng of Glen Carbon; 15 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Greg Newell; daughter, Sherry Kitsner; four brothers, Eugene, Ronald, Leland and Ed Lievers; and three sisters, Esther "Nadine" Parks, Christine Weinmann, and Patricia Johnson.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Wednesday, July 3 at Bethalto Church of God in Bethalto. Pastor Jacob Skelton will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials are suggested to the Alton 5 A's.
