Betty Jean Lowe, 89, passed away April 27, 2025 at her home.
Born November 20, 1935 in Charleston County, SC, she was the daughter of Thomas Randall , Sr. and Fannie Letha (Hudson) Bazzell.
Betty had worked as a retail sales clerk for several years before retiring. She had been a member of the Women of the Moose Auxiliary #1349 and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
On October 20, 1964, she married Ralph Eugene Lowe. He died March 9, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Ralph E., Jr. (Gerri) Lowe of Prattville, AL; three daughters, Charlotte (Les) Harper of Maryville, Linda (Scott) Collins of Wood River, Yvonne (Troy) Eby of Edwardsville; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William J. Lowe; and brother, Thomas Russell Bazzell, Jr.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm, Friday, May 2 at 1st Baptist Church of Mitchell, 608 English Place, Granite City, 62040. Pastor Richard Harmon will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, IL.
Memorials are suggested to the 1st Baptist Church of Mitchell.
