Audrey J. (Saunders) Masterson

Audrey J. Masterson, 90, passed away October 31, 2025 at Eden Village in Glen Carbon.

Born October 2, 1935 in South Roxana, she was the daughter of Albert and Alice E. (Stutsman) Saunders.

A 1953 graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School and member of the First Assembly of God Church in East Alton, she had been employed as a secretary for State Farm Insurance for eight years before retiring in 1996.

On July 5, 1955 in East Alton, she married Kenneth Masterson. He survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Kenneth A. (Debbie) Masterson of Alton; two grandchildren, Phillip Masterson, Jr. and Brittany Watters; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Joanne Clark of Ellis Grove, IL.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Phillip Masterson, Sr.; three brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will be from 5-6 pm, Tuesday, November 4 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Private interment will be in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
