Ann Louise (Fosha) Walkington

Ann L. Walkington, 76, passed away January 1, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Born October 9, 1948 in Alton, she was the daughter of Franklin and Bernadine (Auston) Fosha.

Ann had worked as a nurse in the healthcare field for many years before retiring.

She was a very loving person with a "witty" personality, she enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Ann considered her "happy place", the beach. She adored her family, including her granddog, "Tucker".

She married David Walkington who preceded in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Traci Cox of St. Louis, Erika (Todd) Wooldridge of Louisville, KY, Danielle (Donny) Hargat of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Allie Bradshaw, Jessica Gibson, Hayes Hargat; three great grandchildren, Piper Stanley, Lilliy Bradshaw, Grey Bradshaw; brother, Jon (Sandra) Fosha of Godfrey; and sister, Jane Hand in Florida.

She was preceded  in death by her parents and husband.

Private services and burial were held.

Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto where she had been a member.
