Alice Virginia (Fears) Green

Alice Virginia Green, 97, passed away December 17, 2025 at her home.

Born July 16, 1928 in Berlin, MD, she was the daughter of Edward and Alma Marie (Isenburg) Fears.

She was a self-employed beautician for over 30 years before retiring.

On May 25, 2002 in Alton, she married Orion Frederic Green. He preceded in death.

Surviving are a son, Larry Fry in Florida; four daughters, Marcey (Virgil) Mead, Lori (Bob) Saunders, and Amy (Jeff) Ackerman all of Brighton, Renee Clymer of Litchfield; and several grand and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Edward Fears.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Monday, December 22 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Steve Woodson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
